"I bought the Corsica in June of 1999. It has a 3.1 MFI and 5-speed transmission which had 1100 miles in a 1994 Cavalier RS Coupe before it got wrecked. It also has the 440T4 (similar to the 4T60 from what I've heard) transmission swapped into it from Jonathan's former "Luminator" (Black 1990 Lumina Euro Sedan, 163K I believe when we swapped trannies, but I'm pretty sure that tranny was rebuilt at some point). For the swap, it has the 4-speed shifter, half-shafts, and front buckets from a '95 Corsica, shift cable and PROM chip from the '90 Lumina, lower radiator hose for a '92 Lumina 3.1, and disconnected TB coolant lines. All this was done at 173,954 miles.

Since then, I have installed fog lights, 7.5mm plug wires, AC Rapidfire plugs, 185 degree X-11 thermostat, K&N Air filter, 86-vintage Trans Am hood louvers for future open element ram air-type intake, hood cover, and 91-96 tail lamp lenses. Right now the car has about 194,200 miles on it and runs out pretty nice, though it's still slow (8.5-9 sec 0-60 stopwatch times)."

Other Information

"I bought the T-Type in February of 2001. It is fully loaded, including the VIN 8 Turbocharged SFI 3.8 V6, blue velour bucket seat interior, T-Tops, and 3.42 posi axle. Currently the only modifications to it are 8.6mm plug wires, and commercial duty AC Delco plugs. I plan to do a more or less full restoration on it including replacing the front fenders (have both, not painted yet), both doors (rusted on the bottoms), custom installed Monte Carlo guage cluster (in the process of figuring it out! :P), class II hitch (for pulling "my" 15' outboard) and having the car painted (most likely that will wait until next summer). For the powertrain, I plan to get a K&N cone filter, external PCV filter, 2.5" high flow cat (on its way) and 2.5" duals back from the cat (no mufflers), custom "intercooler" (fuel line carrying coolant around the outside of the pipe from the turbo to the intake; again, in the process of figuring it out), 160 deg Robertshaw high flow thermostat, and auxiliary trannsmission cooler. Maybe more after that if it isn't fast enough for me :D Car has about 93,000 miles on it and seems to run great"
